Nearly a week has passed since deadly fires ignited in California. At the time of this article being written, there are still three active fires: Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst. As a result, over 100,000 people are under evacuation orders. And with winds expected to increase this week, firefighters will no doubt be working extra hard in order to extinguish the remaining flames.

Only time will tell the extent of the damage these wildfires will leave behind. But now that we are days into some of the most destructive wildfires in California’s history, we are starting to get a better idea. This comes, in part, from newly captured satellite images.
