There’s a popular saying that goes, “When you see an opportunity, you should take it.” Well, that’s exactly what Richard Goodall did: He saw a microphone, and he took it.

Richard has been working as a school janitor for 27 years and is currently working at Davis Park Elementary in Terre Haute, Indiana. That being said, a recent viral video of his performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” proves that he was born to be a rockstar!
During an end-of-year event at the school, Richard closed the program with a performance that brought everyone to their feet. According to Richard, he knew that someone was recording him, but he never imagined that he would go viral in the way that he did… however, after watching the video of his incredible voice, we totally understand why. He even got a message from the one and only Steve Perry!
“I love this,” Perry wrote.
After getting so much love on social media, Richard decided to create a TikTok account so he can share more of his talent with the world – and we are so glad he did! We have a feeling this is just the beginning for Richard, and we can’t wait to see more of him!
Watch Richard being a total rockstar below, and don’t forget to share with a friend.
