Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” Is Shaq’s Jam
Kelly Clarkson invited Shaq on the show before she performed for the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation charity ball in October 2021 in Las Vegas. That day, she learned that Since U Been Gone is his favorite karaoke song. Shaq sang a bit, hummed a bit, and made Kelly laugh.
“Everyone who’s ever been to karaoke knows the importance of having a go-to song they can rely on to rock out with an audience too, no matter the situation. For Shaquille O’Neal, that song just so happens to be Kelly’s Since U Been Gone,” a caption on YouTube reads.
Someone commented, “Generally, you know the lyrics to your go-to song, but it’s Shaq, so the rules don’t apply too funny.”
Another fan wrote, “Shaq is a person who can make you laugh even on the saddest of days. “
This person knew just what Shaq needed. “Poor guy. He wanted Kelly to sing with him so bad.”
A Few Weeks Later, Shaq’s Dream Came True
Kelly shared with Eddie that the gentle giant joined her on stage during her performance of Since U Been Gone. It’s true, Shaq may not have the best voice in the world. But his energy was infectious, and he undoubtedly helped the crowd at the event get hyped up.
There is no doubt that Shaq is filled with love and joy. Kelly didn’t shy away, and the pair sang their hearts out. Ultimately, it didn’t kill them. It just made their friendship stronger.
