Simon Cowell Celebrated His 65th Birthday On October 7
Simon got on Instagram to sing Happy Birthday to himself. After a few bars, he announced in a self-deprecating fashion, “And that’s why I decided never to be a singer,” he joked.
He added, ” I am now at an age when you say how old you are, people clap. And that’s depressing. However, I am alive, I am healthy, I’m happy, and thank you, everyone, for your kind messages. Take care till next year. Bye Bye.”
Fans and celebs alike filled Simon’s comments with well wishes.
Perez Hilton was early with, “Happy birthday, you icon!”
Simon’s America’s Got Talent co-host, Howie Mandel, also shared a funny message.
“Happy birthday. I bought you something so amazing I kept it for myself.”
“Happy Happy Birthday Simon. Love you with all my heart,” Heidi Klum wrote.
A fan wrote, “Happy birthday Simon! I hope this year brings you lots of health, joy, and success. Have a brilliant day!”
