Simone Biles’ Mom Shares A Sweet Message For Her Daughter Ahead Of The Olympic Trials

Simone Biles Mom

Gold medalist Simone Biles is heading to the Olympic trials next week, and her mom will be supporting her with her whole heart.

The 27-year-old won the all-around title at the U.S. Gymnastics Champions this month, which gave her a ticket to the trials in Minneapolis on June 27. While there, she will compete against the country’s best to earn one of the five spots on Team USA.

Simone is already one of the most winningest gymnasts in the world. After competing in the 2016 and 2021 games, she earned seven metals, four golds, one silver, and two bronzes.

Nellie Biles, Simone’s mom, has been her biggest supporter throughout Simone’s athletic career. She has been in the stands for nearly every competition, except for the 2021 Olympics because COVID restrictions forced her to remain at home.

Nellie will be by Simone’s side next week as she tries to grab her spot on the 2024 team, and she’ll be in Paris if she succeeds. But no matter what happens, Nellie could not be more proud.

“The important thing is to be there for Simone and making sure that she understands that her family is there giving her full support,” she told Today on June 13. “And I am going to be really happy and probably shedding a few tears just because I’m going to be so emotional.”

Nellie also admitted that she admires her daughter because “she knows what she wants,” and she has unwavering determination and dedication to make her dreams come true.

Simone Biles recently shared how much her mother and father mean to her and her Olympic pursuits. Nellie and her husband, Ronald, adopted their daughter when she was six. The couple also adopted Simone’s younger sister, Adria.

“It means a lot,” Nellie said about Simone’s words. “I feel like we have done the right thing. And, so, yes, we did something right in her life.”
