Sinbad the cat was found in rough shape. The 9-yr-old Persian lived with a very old man that realized he couldn’t take care of himself, and had to give up his best friend. The owner had Sinbad surrendered to a shelter, and shelter staff could hardly believe his condition.

The sweet cat was covered in 5 pounds of knotted, matted fur that trailed behind him like a blanket. Sinbad was dehydrated and seemed very weak, so shelter staff dedicated the rest of their day to getting this kitty in shape.
“Sinbad came in to our shelter after a utility worker saw him in the home of an elderly gentleman,” said veterinarian Elliott Serrano.
