Before playing the violin in space, Sarah and the SpaceX crew had to prepare. The video shows how the crew performs various exercises and daily tasks in a simulated space environment. At the end of the reel, Sarah shares that the SpaceX crew then had to participate in a mock spacewalk.

Her caption read, “What’s the first step in a spacewalk? As part of our preparation for the first commercial spacewalk, we are performing a multi-day study in NASA’s 20 ft pressure chamber to validate every step leading up to – and through – that spacewalk. We just completed a ton of training and check-outs in prep for this study. Stay tuned for the real deal in 1.5 weeks!”
