Subway Introduces The Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie
This isn’t the first time Subway has released a special holiday treat. In the past, the food chain has released footlong cookie baking sheets, so fans know that this new release is sure to be delicious. Food blogger Markie Devo shared the exciting news on Instagram yesterday. He posted a photo of the new delectable subs that are available in October. Then, he shared the sweet Subway holiday treat that will be available in November.
Markie started the post by discussing the new Ghost Pepper Bread that is “topped with heat from ghost peppers, paprika, jalapeño peppers, and Monterrey Cheddar cheese.” Then, he dove into the three new subs that will become available starting October 1st, including the 22 Spicy Nacho Chicken, 24 Firery Meatball, and the 34 Spicy Nacho Steak.
From there, he teased about Subway’s sweet holiday treat, the New Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie. The image showed the footlong chocolate cookie sprinkled with what appeared to be red and white peppermint flakes.
Fans Cannot Wait
Fans are ecstatic about the news. Some completely blew past the news of the new subs to focus solely on the Subway holiday treat. One user wrote, “I might try the cookie but the only bread I use at Subway is Italian.”
Another commented, “The Footlong cookie was good, can’t wait for the peppermint one.”
The food chain’s first footlong cookie is still available for purchase and was a classic chocolate chip flavor. The Subway website describes the cookie, “The NEW Footlong Cookie is baked to perfection and ready to share. It’s served warm so it’s soft and gooey on the inside. Every inch is loaded with chocolate-chip gooness. It’s everything you love about Subway chocolate chip cookies and more, more, and more!”
