Since the first film of the franchise released in 2001, the world has been gifted with a total of 11 Fast and Furious films. And, as the title of the franchise implies, not a single one focuses on the idea of rest and relaxation. So, pairing this action-packed series with such a chill, laid-back product, like Häagen-Dazs ice cream, is quite the perfect choice.

The commercial was filmed in L.A., the very location where the franchise started. With the damage the recent wildfires have caused, it’s leaving Van Diesel feeling more grateful than ever for having filmed this commercial.

“Filming it here and looking back now, I feel it makes it even more special as we look to return and rebuild because L.A. needs the work more than ever,” Diesel shares.

The actors of the Fast and Furious franchise aren’t the only ones with a special connection to L.A. — Häagen-Dazs does as well. The company’s headquarters is located in California, inspiring it to find its own ways to give back to those in need of help, as seen in their post above.
