The Humbolt squid approached this man on a surfboard and caused more than a bit of havoc. The gigantic squid wouldn’t release from the board!
Can you imagine surfing along the oceanside and seeing tentacles pop up? Yikes!
The surfers in the clip handled the giant squid well. They were calm and optimistic, and the surfer whose board the Humbolt squid was on just moved to dodge the tentacles.
They may not have known that the Humbolt squid is known for its aggression. While sometimes these squid are calm, they can be intense and dangerous to humans. How scary is that?
Ignorance was definitely bliss for these surfers. The viewers of this TikTok were definitely scared for him (though some found a hilarious way to prove their Humbolt squid expertise).
“I have some knowledge on this. I was a Humboldt squid in my earlier years,” commented one silly viewer, poking fun at the comment section.
Obviously, others were more to the point about the giant squid.
“Google the Humboldt Squid. That’s the species here. That’s dude’s lucky.”
Thankfully, the surfers made it safely out of the situation.
