Surprisingly Adorable: “Making Our Snake Plant More Festive”

A cluster of potted plants in someone's home.

Not every Christmas tree has to be an evergreen — sometimes, a humble houseplant will do just fine! A woman named Gabby posted the cutest video on social media showing how she decorated her potted snake plant for the holidays. All she needed was a bag of miniature winter hats in various colors and a little creativity! We think her finished product looks totally festive.

In her clip, the woman shared what her snake plant looked like before its holiday makeover. It had long, pointy leaves that grew straight up out of the ground. This made it pretty easy to decorate! Gabby placed a tiny winter hat on the tip of each leaf for a simple yet cheerful touch. Her houseplant looked way too cute in its little Christmas outfit!

“Making our snake plant more festive,” Gabby wrote in her caption.

Commenters loved this woman’s subtle yet adorable method of adding a little holiday cheer to her houseplant. Many users were inspired to try this idea themselves and begged to know where on earth she’d purchased the tiny hats! However, one person wanted to know if these decorations would hurt the snake plant.

In response, Gabby shared another video demonstrating how light the little hats were. She took one off its perch to show that it wasn’t damaging the leaf at all.

Healthline tells us that snake plants are pretty tough, which is why they make such excellent houseplants. These succulents don’t require a lot of care, nor are they very picky about their environment. If you’re someone who often forgets to water your potted pals, then this plant is probably a great option for you!

It’s refreshing to see a snake plant getting some love during the Christmas season. After all, it’s not fair to let pine trees have all the holiday fun!
