Tao Porchon-Lynch is a remarkable 98-year-old who has been practicing yoga since 1982. She may be just shy of a century old, but the incredibly yogi teaches classes around the world, often to students less than half her age!

Tao Porchon-Lynch grew up in India, moved to London, then on to Hollywood and New York. . She has rubbed elbows with everyone from the Dalai Lama and Mahatma Ghandi to Marilyn Monroe! But for all of her amazing adventures, the number one thing Tao credits for her vitality isn’t what you may expect… it’s tea and wine!
The yoga master drinks exclusively tea and wine. In fact, she founded the American Wine Society with her late husband in 1967. It wasn’t until 16 years after his death that she began combining it with yoga.
In May of 2012, Guinness World Records recognized Tao as the world’s oldest yoga instructor, a title she still holds today.
