The 2025 Grammy nominations were released this week—and Taylor Swift made history once again.

In a November 8th press release, the Recording Academy announced that Taylor is the first female performer to earn seven Album of the Year nominations. Until now, she and Barbra Streisand shared the record with six nods each.
This is the fourth year in a row that Taylor Swift has received the honor. The Tortured Poets Department is in the running along with Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft, André 3000’s New Blue Sun, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, Charli xcx’s Brat, and Jacob Collier’s Djesse Vol. 4.
Taylor Swift Has Won The Album Of The Year Grammy Four Times
Since her debut album, Taylor Swift, in 2006, the 35-year-old has had 58 total Grammy nominations. That number includes six for the 2025 ceremony. Along with Album of the Year, Taylor is also up for Song of the Year (Fortnight feat. Post Malone), Record of the Year (Fortnight), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (Us with Gracie Abrams), Best Pop Vocal Album (The Tortured Poets Department), and Best Music Video (Fortnight feat. Post Malone).
Taylor Swift has won 14 Grammys during her career, including four for Album of the Year. The singer won in 2010 for Fearless, in 2016 for 1989, in 2021 for Folklore, and in 2024 for Midnights.
