Taylor Swift Spots A Proposal Mid-Concert & Pauses To Congratulate The Couple: “Man, That’s Amazing!”

Taylor Swift Proposal

Dozens of couples have gotten engaged during Taylor Swift’s concerts, but Taylor hasn’t actually seen it happen—until now!

The singer was putting on an outdoor show in Edinburgh, Scotland, during the daylight hours earlier this month, which is uncommon for her. Typically, she performs at night or inside dark arenas with bright lights shining in her eyes. So she can rarely see what’s happening off-stage.

But during this show, Taylor could see the sea of fans standing before her as she performed. And that gave her the perfect view of a mid-set proposal. As she was wrapping up a song, someone got down on one knee and asked their special someone to marry them. A fan caught Taylor’s excitement on video. And, of course, it’s going viral.

Taylor Swift Thanks Couple For Getting Engaged At Her Concert

In the clip, Taylor sings and stares into the crowd with a smile on her face. After her last note, she sets down her guitar and shares some words.

“I love performing this entire show in the sunlight ’cause I’m pretty sure I just like saw someone get engaged over here.”

The couple acknowledged that her eyes were not deceiving her, and that made Taylor explode with cheers.

“Did it happen?!” She asked before throwing her arms out and yelling, “Yeahhh!”

“I never get to see that! ‘Cause it’s, like, dark, usually at night,” she joked. “But it’s not right now. So, congratulations.”

Taylor Swift paused for a moment to soak in the happiness. Then as she picked up the guitar again, she thanked the couple for letting her be a part of their special day.

“Man, that’s amazing. Thanks for doing that at my concert,” she said. “That’s a big moment. Huge.”

While we’re sure Taylor felt genuinely privileged to see the romantic spectacle unravel before her, commenters agree on one thing. The love birds were probably over the moon because Taylor Swift was the first to congratulate their new lives together.
