When 17-year-old Brady Procon joined his family at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, he likely expected a weekend full of fond memories. What he didn’t expect, however, was to leave with an unforgettable story like this one. It was a holiday weekend, so lots of folks were out on the water, enjoying the sunny day. Brady himself was enjoying a ride on a jet ski. Then, out of nowhere, an unmanned boat got far too close to him and his family.

Turns out, a nearby group had a incident. The driver of the boat fell off, leaving the vehicle going in circles all on its own. This, of course, was incredibly dangerous for anyone nearby. As scary as this situation must have been, this brave teen didn’t hesitate to follow through on a brilliant plan to take control of this runaway boat. Watch his heroic moment in the video below!

“So, I dove off my jet ski, hopped on [my dad’s] jet ski, and then he maneuvered his jet ski up to the boat so I could jump in it,” Brady explains. “If it hit that dock, it would have ricocheted off and probably hit somebody’s house, dock or people.”

“There are those who think of doing great things, and [then] there’s this guy who makes them all look bad,” someone shares in the comment section of the above video, with another adding, “That’s insanely impressive.”
But if you ask Brady himself, he’ll insist that what he did wasn’t heroic.
“I wouldn’t say I’m a hero,” the teen admits. “I think anyone would have done that if they had that opportunity to do it.”
