Remember claw machines? Although they can be challenging to win, or nearly impossible, they’re also loads of fun. After all, there are tons of adorable prizes inside! That’s certainly the case for the one at the Meadows Family Fun Mini Golf in Pennsylvania. In fact, there’s a chance you’ll be shocked by what you find… the employees certainly were! As you can imagine, this was quite a startling discovery. Especially since it seemed as though the poor little guy was stuck. As a result, the business called in the professionals. But when State Game Warden Salvadore Zaffuto showed up on the scene, he knew he could save the groundhog alone. So, they contacted the vending machine company for help.

Luckily, they were able to swiftly send someone to the claw machine, allowing them to unlock it. From there, Salvadore was able to safely remove the frightened creature. Once they were free, they scurried back out into the wild, totally unharmed – and with quite a story to tell!

When news of this unusual situation spread online, folks were quick to express their relief over nobody getting hurt, the groundhog included. They were also quick to make lots of jokes, too!

“This is now Pennsylvania’s third most famous groundhog!!” someone shares in reply to a post made by the state’s Game Commission, referencing the infamous Punxsutawney Phil.

“I would have went broke trying to win [the groundhog],” someone else admits, with another person adding, “Never a dull moment in Pennsylvania.”
