Tom Holland has a lot going on for him at the moment. There’s his recent engagement to Zendaya, of course. Plus, it’s been revealed that the much anticipated Spider-Man 4 will start filming this summer. And, while his non-alcoholic beer brand launched toward the end of 2024, Holland wasn’t able to look for the beverage in stores in the United States until recently. His new drink, BERO, can be found in a number of stores, including Target.

So, when Holland set out to find his non-alcoholic beverage, he went to a nearby Target. However, BERO was nowhere to be found. The same was true of the second store he visited. Finally, the third time was the charm… in the end, anyway. At first, it seemed as though he wouldn’t be able to buy his own non-alcoholic beer! Listen to Holland share what happened in the video below.
Like many others, you may be wondering, “Why would anyone need to show their ID to purchase a non-alcoholic beverage?” Well, it seems that just about any malt beverage is regulated by the Federal Alcoholic Administration Act. So, buying beer of any kind, alcohol are not, is likely to trigger any store’s alcohol buying process, ID checks and all.
Tom Holland’s Journey to Buy His Own Non-Alcoholic Beer Doesn’t Go As Planned
“Kind of ironic that I wasn’t allowed to buy my own product,” Holland points out. “But yeah! Feeling good. This is exciting.”
Luckily, this wasn’t too much of a hassle for Holland. In the end, he got his BERO, a product he clearly couldn’t be more proud of creating. Speaking of which, he actually did so after realizing that drinking alcohol wasn’t good for him. He learned this after participating in Dry January in 2022.
“I could sleep better. I could handle problems better. Things that would go wrong on set that would normally set me off, I could take in my stride. I had such better mental clarity,” Holland once said, adding that he’s now feeling the “happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”
