Sometimes, there are totally logical explanations behind supposedly supernatural phenomena. Other times, there are ridiculously hilarious ones! When this couple discovered a frightening specter in their screen door, they quickly realized that this was merely the ghost of a silly mishap from a few days earlier. Chase M shared the funny story on social media.

In his video, he explained that his partner, Sarah, had accidentally collided with the screen while wearing a “full face of makeup.” This left a spooky-looking imprint of her face on the door, which almost resembled a ghost! Sarah was cracking up as Chase zoomed in on the mark.
He added in the comments that the couple hadn’t noticed the makeup residue at the time. Days later, they were startled by a “ghost” in the screen door!
“We actually didn’t see it when it first happened, only noticed it a few days later,” he wrote. “And then we realized what it was.”
It should be noted that the impression this woman left behind looked nothing like her actual face. Her features were distorted when she hit the screen, making the image particularly menacing. Plus, there were two big, empty spaces where her eyes should be! This makes sense when you consider how the imprint was made, but it looks pretty scary with no context.
What a spooky ghost!
Some users thought it would be funny if the couple just left the ghostly face on their screen to commemorate the moment — or to frighten others!
“I would never wash that off,” said one person.
Another wrote, “I say leave it! Freak out the kids and neighbors!”
Even Sarah responded in the comments section.
“Why do you have to out me like this?” she joked.
Chase replied, “Because you HAUNTED THE HOUSE.”
Can you imagine finding a strange face like this somewhere in your home? We’re glad this couple was able to solve the hilarious mystery!
