Earlier this month, Jenna Fischer took to social media to announce that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2023. Since then, she has undergone treatment, including chemotherapy. Thankfully, Fischer was also able to share that she is already cancer-free! The timing of this news is no coincidence. When the beloved actor was diagnosed, she decided to only tell her closest friends and family.

This decision was made, in part, because Fischer wanted to have spaces in her life where she’s “not a cancer patient.” This included many of the people she and Angela Kinsey work with on their podcast about The Office. Kinsey herself, of course, was an exception. The two of them are close friends, so she was quick to offer Fischer her full support. The result? A kindness that Fischer will never forget. Watch her talk about it in the video below.

Angela Kinsey Shows Support for Jenna Fischer During Chemotherapy in the Sweetest Way
For the most part, it seems that Fischer didn’t make many requests for support outside of wanting her cancer to be a secret at work. But then the actor’s hair started to fall out. To hide this fact, she wore wigs with hats. Understandably, this made her feel a bit awkward, particularly in work meetings. So, without being prompted, Kinsey started to wear hats, too. What a beautiful sign of true friendship!
Needless to say, this show of support meant the world to Fischer. And now that fans know about what she did, they’re also finding her kindness to be oh-so sweet and inspiring.
“Angela Kinsey really is the antithesis of her character. What a beautiful person,” someone points out in the comments, with another adding, “I love their friendship. It’s pure sisterhood.”
