Mariah Carey Christmas

The kids are back at school, it’s finally fall, and Halloween is just around the corner. Halloween means Thanksgiving is coming, and you can’t have Thanksgiving without Christmas a few weeks later. And just thinking about the holidays gets some people so excited they’re ready to dig out their trees and Christmas lights today. Not too fast, friends. Mariah Carey, the self-proclaimed “Queen of Christmas,” wants us to keep the reindeer in the garage for just a little bit longer.

It’s Almost Mariah’s Time to Shine

Sure, Mariah’s music is amazing, and you can enjoy it all year long. It’s just when we hear those first few familiar notes to a certain Christmas classic that the season officially begins. Mariah shared a video on Instagram of herself on a plane, and the captain comes over the speaker right as All I Want For Christmas begins. He says, “Welcome aboard, Mariah. We are headed to the North Pole.”

But the queen claps back, “Not yet! Sorry. They always rush me.”

To ensure that everyone understood, she also wrote in the video’s caption, “To those asking…. Not yet!!!”

Mariah fans had mixed emotions about her announcement

Some obey her highness.

One wrote, “We don’t move until the Queen of Christmas says it’s time for Christmas!!

Another agreed, “Not yet” has begun!!! I can’t wait for this year’s “It’s tiiiiiime” video!!!

But this fan is ready, “Sorry Mariah but we are so ready.”

So is this one, “Yes yet!!!!”

If it’s anything like last year’s announcement, we only have a few weeks to go. Mariah released an iconic video last year on Halloween of some spooky pumpkin creatures thawing her out of a giant ice block. Mariah broke free and yelled, “It’s time,” just as All I Want For Christmas played.

We cannot wait to see what the queen has in store this year.
