This world had Betty White for nearly 100 years, but that wasn’t enough. Whether you started riding with Rose in St. Olaf or your love affair began with snarky Sue Ann, everyone loved Betty. Fun fact: sliced bread became a thing in 1928, and Betty White arrived in 1922. So, everything good’s been the best thing since Betty White all along. The United States Postal Service understood that Betty White was a national treasure. So, they planned a new Forever Stamp in her memory. Betty loved animals, and the USPS will hold the first-day-of-issue event for the new stamp at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens on March 27.

A Betty White Stamp Will Make Mail More Fun
According to the USPS, “The Betty White stamp features a digitally created portrait of the cherished star against a violet-colored background and, in a lighter shade, bubbly spots that befit her sparkling personality. She is portrayed wearing a polka-dotted blue top. ‘Betty White’ is printed in White near the bottom of the stamp artwork. ‘FOREVER USA’ is printed just below, in violet. Her name also appears centered atop the white selvage, also in violet.
The stamps will be available in panes of 20.
“Often referred to as the ‘First Lady of Television,’ White was honored with five Primetime Emmy Awards for her work in television, as well as three Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Grammy Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was also much recognized for her animal welfare work,” the USPS noted.
Golden Girls enthusiasts can’t wait to get their hands on a Betty White stamp. Gold Girls Quotes shared the news on X and fans are ready.
“Is it insane that I have this date marked in my calendar,” one asked.
