This Emotionally Charged Kris Kristofferson & Rosanne Cash Duet Will Go Down In History

Kristofferson and Roseanne Cash.

Kris Kristofferson and Rosanne Cash are both powerhouse megastars on their own. The air becomes electric when the pair team up to perform a duet. When they performed together at Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday bash to sing “Lovin’ Her Was Easier (Than Anything I’ll Ever Do Again),” everyone needed their tissues.

Even with such a star-studded cast, Kris Kristofferson and Rosanne Cash stood out. The blending of these two voices creates a magical sound. The song is a Kristofferson original from 1971 and was not a duet. He sang it solo on his album The Silver Tongued Devil And I. The song hits “next level” excellence with the additional vocals from Rosanne Cash.

The history of these two singers goes back to Rosanne’s childhood. Her father, Johnny Cash, played in a band with Kris Kristofferson and two other guys (Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson). The band’s name was The Highwaymen (you might have heard of them?). The two singers’ connection is a lifetime of friendship that makes the air vibrate while performing the duet.

This is not the first time the two singers have performed together. Kris Kristofferson retired from the spotlight in 2020 but came out to sing for his old friend Willie Nelson. You can follow him on his website, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Rosanne Cash is still singing and is currently on tour. You can keep up with her activities on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
