This Four-Chair Duet Battle On “The Voice” Has Fans Swooning

The Voice Four Chair

This season of The Voice has the judges and fans on the edge of their seats. These The Voice singers are incredibly talented, and some made all four chairs turn, hoping to snag contestants for their teams. During a recent Battles episode, Team Gwen Stefani’s picks Austyns Stancil and Jose Louis faced off with an incredible set of Sam Smith’s Lay Me Down. During The Voice season 26 blind auditions, all four chairs turned for both Austyns and Stancil, with the men ultimately choosing Gwen. In a shocking move, she put the two together in a battle leaving her with only one to continue on her team.

The Battle Reinforced Why They Each Earned Four Chairs Turned Earlier This Season

Austyns and Jose sang beautifully together and during their solos. The judges all smiled during the performance, and Reba McEntire gave Gwen a bit of trouble.

“Everything was so polished and perfect, it’s like you guys have been singing together forever. I absolutely loved it. Gwen, that’s going to be hard. I’m going to abstain because I love you both,” she said.

Snoop Dogg agreed, “Oh, wow!” he said. “There was a couple of moments where I thought I caught the gangster Holy Ghost. This is a Battle, right? It didn’t feel like it. it felt like you guys were together, working with each other, allowing each other to have that space to show your vocal abilities. That’s what I love about what I just witnessed, that you had no problem stepping back and allowing each other to have that moment. That’s a great characteristic right there, so I’m happy for both of you, and I know whichever one of you don’t make it, I will be taking you.”

Michale Buble agreed with Snoop 100%. “That just looked like you guys were having so much fun,” he said. “You lit this place up. It almost speaks more to who Gwen Stefani is. If this doesn’t show you the kindness and the goodness of Gwen Stefani to gift one of you to us. Gwen, I love you, and thank you.”

Like any great drama, The Voice left us with a cliffhanger. We don’t know which of these four-chair tuners will stay with Gwen and which will go to one of the guys. Austyns Stancil and Jose Luis, we can’t wait to see how this one pans out.
