Alexandra Madison and Jon Bouffard amassed millions of followers on social media as self-proclaimed DINKS, which stands for dual income, no kids. When they announced Alex was expecting a baby earlier this year, many were surprised. Fans soon became excited to be on the funny couple’s pregnancy journey. Tragically, on June 21, Alex posted they lost their son, Leo Grey, at 26 weeks gestation.
“There are no words that can truly capture the depth of this pain. Nothing can prepare you for this. Our hearts will never be the same,” the couple wrote.
As time passed, Alex and Jon decided to share a skit that depicted their feelings. Things had gotten somber after Leo’s death, so the pair decided to go back to humor.
In a skit captioned, “We don’t handle rejection very well here.” Alex and Jon go back to the fictional DINK office to retrieve their denied “resignation” from being DINK.
“Jon and I have always posted skits inspired by what’s going on in our lives, and that includes this one. We never thought we would be here making this ‘follow-up’ to our first video resigning as DINKs (Dual Income No Kids), but here we are. And that’s life. Real life. There are ups and downs, and along the way, I’ve discovered that a little (sometimes dark) humor brings moments of relief. This post is a small part of that journey, a reminder that it’s okay to give ourselves and each other permission to laugh again,” she wrote.
TikTokers Loved Alexandra And Jon’s Video On Pregnancy Loss
One person wrote, “We were denied twice before our application finally went through.”
Another shared they were glad to see Alex and Jon back, “I’m sure it must be hard to do those clips, and at the same time, I am so glad you are finding a way to cope that continues to bring light in our lives 💛 You guys are truly the bests.”
