It seems like Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have always been together, doesn’t it? The pair met 30 years ago, but it took two years before they started dating. Once Tim and Faith got together, there was no pulling them apart. They celebrated 28 years of marriage on October 6, but it took Tim a few tries before he could even get Faith to agree to a date.

Tim and Faith met in 1994 at the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville while they were both in relationships with other people. Faith joined Tim on his Spontaneous Combustion Tour in 1996, and the rest is history. Today, they share three daughters, Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey, and three decades of love.

In 2021, Tim shared on X that he and Faith dated for a while, and he asked her several times to marry him, but she said she didn’t want to get involved with a country singer. But one day at a country music festival, he decided to make an official proposal. Tim got down on one day and popped the question.
“They had these trailer houses set up. I’m getting ready to go on stage, and I had this sort of case that had this big mirror in it. She’s standing there, and we’re talking, and I said, ‘Look, let’s get married,'” he said in the clip on X. “And she says, ‘You’re asking me to marry you at a country music festival in a trailer house.’ And I said, ‘Well, it’s pretty apropos if you think about it.’ She goes, ‘Are you serious?’ And I said, ‘Well yeah, I’m serious.'”‘
Tim went out to sing, and when he came back, he saw that Faith was ready to take the leap with him.
“I came off the stage and went back into my dressing room and Faith wasn’t there, but I looked at the mirror. In lipstick, it read, ‘Yes! I’m gonna be your wife,'” the singer said. “And we still have that mirror. And it was the best day of my life, that’s for sure.”
