Camping is a wholesome and fun family activity. It can be an inexpensive way for families to bond, enjoy the outdoors, and travel the country. Sometimes, you might meet your neighboring campers. Other times, they might leave you a note on your windshield. When this father received a windshield note, he felt compelled to thank the originator.

You can meet all kinds of people in America’s campgrounds. It can be amazing when you are camped near conscientious people, as this father discovered. Fearing the worst when he saw the note on his windshield, the man opened it to find the most awesome affirmation of his parenting skills and the behavior of his children.
After finding the note, the father went to Reddit, where he posted a thank-you, saying, “To the man who left this thoughtful note on my windshield at Lower Pines Campground this weekend, I extend my heartfelt gratitude; your acknowledgment of my efforts to be a good father means a great deal to me.” The note discussed how well the husband and wife worked together to position the trailer.
The second half of the note complimented the kids, who were “mild-mannered and well-behaved.” Then, the neighborly camper talked about the stories around the fire and how pleasant it was listening to the sounds of a happy family.
The note finishes, “From one dad to another, you are killing it. Keep it up.” An added postscript complimented the smell of their dinner. It was a pleasant note to find on the windshield.
As parents, we constantly strive to offer our children positive affirmations. Receiving them from a total stranger is enough to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
