Today Wardrobe Mishap

Admit it, if you’re a parent, you’ve had one of those moments. You think you’ve got it all together and then realize you’re walking out of the house with curlers in your hair, or maybe your sweatshirt is on inside out. Perhaps you’ve made it all the way to work with a bit of toilet paper on your face from where you nicked yourself shaving. We’ve all had those moments. They are the relatable and endearing moments of parenthood that make for great stories down the road.

Sometimes, even famous people have those moments. Vicky Nguyen had a hilarious wardrobe mishap on the Today Show the morning after Christmas that will have you saying, “Same, girl.” Her co-anchor, Peter Alexander, noticed Vicky’s footwear was a bit more casual than normal and called her out. The mom wore her slippers to work instead of heels and laughed it off the way only a mom could. She said her director cropped out her funny “mom brain” moment.

The “Today Show” Wardrobe Mishap Is Something Plenty Of People Have Done

There were most likely more people who did not leave the house wearing the wrong thing. Vicky said it was just part of the day after Christmas rush. And thankfully, the director cut the bright yellow slippers out of the camera angle until Peter called them out. They all got a good laugh.

This person gave Vicky a pass, “Look she showed up. That’s that – I almost called in vibe.”

“I love Vickey Nguyen so much! Love her reporting, her content, her style,” another agreed.

This person felt like the Today Show host had a fashion win, not a wardrobe mishap. “That’s the pop of color we didn’t know we needed!! Love it.”

We are all in on this comment. “It’s so real. Like honestly, all of the hosts should have worn jammies.”
