Parents of toddlers wish they could skip forward to bypass the toddler drama phase. Unfortunately, we must all suffer through that period. Most parents feel horrible for their little tyke, but the drama is so over the top that they can’t help but laugh. That often makes it worse, which also makes it more hilarious.

This first little drama queen wants to play in someone’s purse, and her mom said, “No.” She has great restraint for a toddler, but still full of drama. It is almost as if she thinks her mom can’t see her because her eyes are closed.
This next toddler is a masterful actress. She is crying very dramatically and using her entire body to convey her agony and despair. Her mom isn’t buying it, so the toddler cranks up the drama.
This toddler is so dramatic that her mom knows just how to demonstrate it for us. Watch the mom as she enters the room. The toddler thinks she hit her, so naturally, she is crying. But then she can’t tell Mom where the booboo is, so it’s all better in a flash.
When it’s bedtime and they don’t want to go, a toddler will create the most drama you have ever seen. Dad turns off the TV and hollers, “Bedtime.” The toddler turns to look at him, then immediately sprawls on the floor. It’s unclear if she’s trying to camp out there, or she wants to be carried to bed.
As long as we keep making toddlers, parents will have to continue suffering through the drama and the overacting. You’ll get extra points if you can manage to stifle your laughs while comforting your distraught child.
