Nexta also posted videos on X of Tropicana Field and other parts of Florida as Milton pounded them. Gigantic palm trees fell to the ground, and the winds whipped through. People stood in horror, watching tornadoes form near them, knowing they would take no mercy as they blew through Florida.

The Associated Press, confirmed four deaths thus far. It appears The Spanish Lake Country Club near Fort Pierce had significant destructions, with both residents reported deceased and homes destroyed.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis took to X to assure Floridians that crews were on top of restoring power and making the state safe.

“Over 3 million households are without power, but 635,996 accounts have already been restored as of 6:00 AM. More than 50,000 linemen are in Florida and working to restore power as efficiently and safely as possible. As you are surveying damage and cleaning up your property, be cautious of hazards like downed power lines and operate generators a safe distance from your house,” he wrote.

The governor urged people to stay home until crews can ensure safe roads and bridges.

“If you do not live in the area, do not attempt to travel to areas impacted by Hurricane Milton—keep the roadways clear for first responders, FDOT personnel, and utility vehicles,” DeSantis warned.
