After withdrawing from the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo, Simone returned with a vengeance to Paris. She lived up to the hype and proved that she is not only the GOAT but a team player who knows the importance of working together.

The Americans led in the all-around competition from the beginning, and the women clearly wanted the gold. Event after event, the stars and stripes shined, and Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Simone Biles, Jade Carey, and Suni Lee dominated the competition. The Americans finished ahead of the Italians by nearly six points, and Brazil came in third.

In A World Where Social Media Rules, The Women’s Gymnastics Team Had Plans For Their Gold Medals

Simone and Suni teased TikTok ideas on the sidelines, and NBC broadcasters caught the women’s plans.

“I want to do the chomping one,” Simone said.

Suni replied, “OK, I want to do the one that says, ‘Imagine if we didn’t win.”

Simone posted an extremely viral TikTok of herself and her Women’s Gymnastics teammates chomping on their gold medals. With more than 36 million views, the moment touched the hearts of millions who cheered the women on.

Someone wrote, “the fact that on TV you heard her talking about this with Suni.”

There were so many congratulations, “What an inspiration for young kiddos everywhere! CONGRATULATIONS TEAM USA!”

Big brands got in on the action. TJ Maxx wrote, “The way we were patiently waiting for this video. Congrats ladies!”

Pinterest commented from its official TikTok, “cooked, ate, and served.”

It’s not over. There are more chances to watch Simone and the rest of her teammates make history during the individual event finals. We will be there!
