“The Holy Father’s condition has shown a slight further improvement over the past 24 hours. The mild kidney insufficiency observed in recent days has subsided. A chest CT scan carried out last night showed a normal progression of the lung inflammation. Blood tests conducted today confirmed the improvement seen yesterday,” the release reads.

Per the Vatican, Pope Francis returned to his work after the testing, and while he is showing a slight improvement, he isn’t out of the woods yet.

“The Holy Father remains on high-flow oxygen therapy but has not experienced any asthma-like respiratory episodes today. Respiratory physiotherapy is continuing. Despite the slight improvement, his prognosis remains guarded.”

The Vatican posted the update on its website and social media, and the prayers for Pope Francis and his health continued.

“During this coming time of Lent, there will be a miracle for Pope Francis. The Lord still has a mission for the Holy Father here on earth. I pray, oh Lord, to heal Pope Francis and bring him to full recovery,” someone shared on X.

Another person agreed, “Wonderful updates on the Holy Father! Prayers still needed!”

This person extended prayers to Pope Francis’ medical team, which is guiding him through his journey to better health. They wrote, “Thank to the Dr, who is in followup to our world Pope, I think he/she worry every microsecond.”

Many shared continued prayers for Pope Francis. Like this person who wrote, “The World is lifting you on prayer @Pontifex. We’ve got you!”
