Veterinarians work with a wide variety of animals. While most pets are calm and well-tempered, they may have to deal with aggressive or mean animals. When that happens, even if it’s “just” a cute kitten, a vet will take every precaution to ensure their staff and visitors stay safe. Sometimes, that means an overabundance of caution, including warning signs.

Imagine being a cat lover, walking through your vet’s office, and seeing this poor, innocent little creature. Your first thought is to wonder what this little kitten did to cause such fear. Anyone who has ever met a kitten at this age knows that every warning sign on this cage may have merit. But it doesn’t mean we don’t want to pet their cute fuzzy little kitten face!
As you’re reading the signs, the legendary voice of David Attenborough echoes through your head: “The most dangerous animal on this planet. A violent creature filled with hateful thoughts and a lust for blood. Teeth like razors to suck the meat from your bones. Yes, when all is said and done, she is a killer.” And then you see this…
Your heart melts. You throw caution to the wind and open the cage door to scoop up that tiny bundle of cuteness. And screams of instant regret fill the room. This cute kitten is a tiny little terror, responding in fear with razor-like claws and needle-like teeth. While most small cats are harmless, some may violently respond to love. This little one chose violence.
A Cute Kitten Is Still Cute Even After It Draws Blood
If you ignore all the warning signs, please ensure you have access to an adequate supply of Band-Aids. This video reminds us of the importance of using proper precautions with all animals. While this cute kitten is totally adorable, it may be a feral rescue kitten that doesn’t interact well with humans. The vet’s office might also just have a great sense of humor!
