“Wheel of Fortune” Contestant Misses Obvious Puzzle & Loses Massive Fortune

Wheel Of Fortune

Sometimes, Wheel of Fortune is not for the faint of heart. Fans sit and watch with bated breath as contestants attempt to solve puzzles that the home viewer is sure they will answer quickly and correctly. We’ve heard a million times that playing from the comfort of your home is much easier, and that’s probably true. Studio lights and a clock ticking away must be so stressful. Caroline Spicer recently won her episode of Wheel of Fortune and had a chance to go to the bonus round. Dressed in a bright pink blazer, she seemed confident and ready to take on the world. But unfortunately, her night ended in a huge disappointment.

The “Wheel Of Fortune” Bonus Round Can Be Pretty Tricky

During the Wheel of Fortune bonus round,  Caroline looked at the letters and started to sound things out. She saw,  “_ _ _ERIN_   _ _ _D  _D_ICE.” She mumbled advice, but the buzzer went off.

Ryan Seacrest had to deliver the devastating news.

“You were on the right track with advice,” Ryan said. “‘ Offering Good Advice’ was the puzzle.”

Ryan showed Caroline the prize she lost out on, a whopping $40,000. Watching her crumble made our hearts hurt a bit. Caroline looked like she would cry but quickly rallied with a smile.

Some Wheel Of Fortune fans were with Caroline. They didn’t get the bonus round, either.

Like this person, “Yea, quite a tough one, she needed another letter or two.”

And this one, “I only got the advice part. The first two words I had no clue.”

But others got it no problem. One fan wrote, “I thought she had enough letters to work from. Oh well, she still did well. Congrats Caroline!”

This person agreed, “I immediately recognize the puzzle the moment I see ‘advice.'”

“Got it from her letters! As soon as I saw “Advice” and the first word looked like ‘Offering’ I remembered the $1 million puzzle that was missed 8 months ago “Offering Some Help”. Sometimes Wheel recycles puzzles but changes a word or two,” an eagle-eyed Wheel Of Fortune Fan noticed.
