Wheel Of Fortune has been part of American television for nearly 50 years. Millions of us have tuned into the game show and played along at home. We’ve watched some incredible players guess puzzles that seemed impossible. There have also been times when we’ve watched constants flounder and sometimes wondered how the heck, they got it wrong. Unfortunately for them, those missed puzzles can cause embarrassing TV moments. A recent Wheel of Fortune blunder might go down in history as one of the worst.

This “Wheel Of Fortune” Contest Seemed Pretty Confident
In an episode that aired November 11, a contestant named Will had most of the letters turned over when he decided to solve the puzzle. It seemed pretty obvious to those at home watching and other guests on set. The missing letters would have completed the puzzle, “Give yourself a round of applause.” But poor Will said something else entirely.
He told host Ryan Seacrest he wanted to solve and said, “Treat yourself a round of sausage.”
After his incorrect answer, fellow contestant Kitina solved and won the round. The Wheel of Fortune host joked, “Will, I kind of like yours better.”
Of course, Will’s clip made its way onto the internet, and people began to roast him. Wheel of Fortune shared the video on Instagram with the caption, “Playing Wheel of Fortune on stage is a whole different ball game than playing at home, but Will was a great sport about his missolve!”
Correspondent Maggie Sajak commented, “So great! And shoutout to Will for being a great sport and for making us laugh right along with him!”
Maggie interviewed Will and asked, “Alright Will, we had a little missolve in the first game… that’s okay, could you walk me through how you’re feeling?”
“I tell you, when the lights are on, and you know, the stars and Ryan Seacrest, Vanna White… I just went blank,” Will said.
“But, if your dad, in retirement, is watching this show, maybe cracks a beer and gets a laugh, it was worth it,” he added.
Fans loved it. One wrote, “That was hilarious! He had a good game though!”
This person understood the pressure. “My sister was on Wheel of Fortune, you sometimes blank out! I’d probably be the same.”
