When you “enlist” your husband to help with bathtime, and he is ex-military, it might sound like a lousy boot camp movie. Fortunately for this wife, her kids love bathtime with dad, even if it sounds harsh. As the husband barks out orders, the kids can be heard giggling. There is some minor offensive language, so consider that before watching this on speakerphone at work.

Mariah and Alex are a pretty typical couple. They share parenting responsibilities, laugh, and try to enjoy each day regardless of the hurdles they face. Bathtime with the husband is a whole next-level adventure. As Alex has the kids upstairs in the bath, Mariah laughs at the bottom of the steps. His behavior is off-the-hook, but the kids are having a blast.
Alex yells like a drill sergeant throughout bathtime: “I will not tickle him; I will only clean that disgusting dirt off your body! Put your hands up in the air now! I’m gonna count to three!” As her husband continues barking bathtime orders at their youngsters, Mariah finds it hard not to laugh. The kids can be heard giggling as they get scrubbed clean.
In true boot camp style, the kids respond appropriately when their drill sergeant dad barks questions at them. As her husband describes each part of the bathtime routine, scrubbing various tiny body parts, Mariah can’t help but laugh. As the rinse portion begins, she moves up to the top of the stairwell. We see Alex on his knees outside the tub as he continues pretending to be a drill sergeant.
Toddler Bathtime With The Husband Is A Hoot
RJ got a stern reprimand for splashing Truett. When it comes time to use the conditioner, Alex explains, still yelling boot camp style, that it is not a child-safe product. He reminds the kids not to move and to avoid getting it in their eyes. He explains that if it gets in their eyes, it WILL burn.
Alex reminds them not to move as he barks, “This is the most dangerous chemical on the planet Earth.” As he gets the conditioner in RJ’s hair, poor Truett looks scared for his turn. Alex (playfully) yells at Truett to man up.
Alex’s kids enjoy this playful drill sergeant mode. As long as everyone is laughing (and they were), it’s all good play. If you have a husband who helps with bathtime, feel blessed, even if it sounds like the rantings of a lunatic in a bad war movie.
Please share if you enjoyed the laughter of these young children as their dad was being silly.
