Living across the street from an elderly couple has some perks, especially for the kids. It’s like having an extra set of grandparents because they “adopt” all the neighborhood kids. This year, they made Easter baskets for everyone. The elderly neighbors were waiting on the corner when the school bus dropped the kids off.

The “baskets” were large plastic bunny-shaped containers. The kids were ecstatic, running home and holding their bunny baskets to show their parents. The sweet elderly neighbors returned to their home like this was just another typical day. There was no fanfare or expectation for anything beyond the thanks they heard from the children.

The kids were so excited that they could barely wait to break into the baskets. It was hard getting them to slow down enough to see what was in them. Lily’s fans also wanted to know what was in the cute bunny baskets. She was able to record a short video, but not until after the kids had ravaged them. Each basket contained treats, stickers, and plastic eggs filled with candy.
Her fans urged her to have the kids make thank-you cards for the Easter baskets from her elderly neighbors. That would be a great way to show appreciation. The kids got a wonderful early Easter surprise from the couple. It was so cute that the two seniors wore matching outfits when they gave out the baskets.
