Millions of people continue to prep ahead of Hurricane Milton’s arrival. Based on all of the info gathered by folks like Hurricane Hunters, it’s expected to be a particularly dangerous storm. Whenever a storm like this is expected, evacuation orders are put into place. Making the decision to stay or leave is far from easy, or even possible, in some cases. Sometimes, cruise lines are given enough of a heads-up to delay when a ship departs. That said, there are plenty of times when a ship is already out on the water. When this happens, tough decisions have to be made. That has been the case for a few Carnival cruise ships, including the one Jennifer, a photographer from Kentucky, is currently on. Check out a short clip of what it’s like on the water right now in the video below.

While not directly within the hurricane, it’s clear that even the surrounding water is getting rough. The boat is rocking so much that pool water is being tossed around the deck. It’s no wonder, then, that their planned visit to Bimini was canceled yesterday. Plus, this cruise ship isn’t the only one facing this storm. Check out an update from the Royal Caribbean Harmony in the video below.

Needless to say, being on a cruise ship during a hurricane is quite scary. That said, this is certainly not the first time this has happened. A few commenters have even shared that they felt relatively safe on a cruise ship during storms like this in the past. This is true, in part, because their ship was able to navigate around the incoming hurricane.
In fact, Jennifer’s ship is expected to visit a new location, Nassau, sometime today as a way to avoid danger. For the latest updates on Carnival cruises, you can check out their website.
