Wild Monkey Steps In As Traffic Cop After Drivers Find Themselves In A Gridlock

Monkey Traffic

We hate being stuck in traffic. Even with the most advanced technology in our hands and apps that tell us exactly which way to go, we still feel like we’re sitting there for no reason whatsoever. Sometimes people will take it upon themselves to get the traffic moving. That might be a police officer, another driver, or, in the case of a traffic jam in Thailand, a monkey. Yep, that’s right. A monkey in Thailand realized things weren’t running as smoothly as they should have been, so it stood on the side of the road making hand signals to help. Of course, someone saw what was happening and had to start recording. It 100% seems like a scene out of a movie, but this is real life, and it’s pretty darn impressive.

This Monkey Might Moonlight As A Traffic Cop

The New York Post shared the video on YouTube. Per the Post, “A wild monkey became a traffic cop for a day during a hilarious scene in Thailand. The macaque had climbed down from the roadside trees and began using hand gestures to pass automobiles at the Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima on Jan. 18. One amazed onlooker said, “It’s funny to see a monkey ordering humans around. It must have learned the hand gesture from traffic police in the area.”

Someone said in the comment section about the traffic monkey, “Yes!! They are evolving. Soon, they will be paying taxes.”

This made us laugh, “Imagine if he pulled out a whistle.”

Another person joked, “‘Why you late for work? I made a wrong turn there was a monkey telling me to go right.'”

This person thinks they’ve figured out the traffic monkey. ” Seems the monkey wanted a lift.”
