In an adorable clip from the Buffalo Zoo on social media, Eric produced a special piece of artwork for the two polar bears. He used snow to create a scene that these creatures were sure to appreciate — a big, juicy fish leaping out of the water! This artist even added some color to the sculpture using Gatorade.

“A masterpiece in so many ways!” wrote the Buffalo Zoo in their caption. “Thank you to artist Eric Jones for the incredible snow sculpture — Luna and Sakari loved it!”

Sadly, this sculpture didn’t survive its encounter with the polar bears.

It’s truly amazing how this sculptor was able to create such intricate shapes out of snow. Eric’s finished product was absolutely breathtaking to behold! Unfortunately, as you can probably imagine, it didn’t last long once it was gifted to the two polar bears.

At the end of the zoo’s video, Sakari got to enjoy a little one-on-one time with the piece of art. Within seconds, the animal knocked the fish right off the sculpture! Soon, the rest of the figure was likewise trampled. Although it was definitely sad to see so much effort go to waste, it was also pretty hilarious to watch this polar bear go to town on the artwork!

If you want to see more of Eric Jones’ impressive snow sculptures, you can check him out on Instagram. There, you’ll find more photos of the massive fish he created for polar bears Luna and Sakari — including pictures before and after its destruction!
