Difficult times have a way of bringing folks together. Ahead of Hurricane Milton, millions of people worked to find way to keep themselves, and others, safe. This includes our animal friends, like those at zoos. Taking care of pets is a bit easier, of course… that is unless you have a particularly large pet, like a horse.

Rebekah Sue is one of those people. Normally, her 31-year-old horse lives just outside their home. But with a hurricane as dangerous as Milton approaching, she knew that her horse, Dobbin, would not be safe out there. So, she arranged her home in a way that would be fitting for her large animal friend and welcomed him inside! Yes, it is just as adorable as you’re imagining.

The video above gives us an idea of the lengths that Rebekah went to in order to ensure Dobbin was safe and comfy. Though, if you ask the horse owner herself, she’s sure to tell you that doing something like this for Dobbin was never even a question. Because, as always, pets truly are our family.

“We are directly in the path of the eye in Bradenton, Fl,” Rebekah shares in the caption of her video, “and there was no way I was leaving him outside.”

In no time, Rebekah’s video went viral. Folks from all around the world started to check in to her social media page, eager for updates letting them know Rebekah, Dobbin, and the rest of their family were all safe. While Rebekah did lose power, and her access to the Internet is spotty, she has been able to confirm that everyone is doing okay.

“I just want everybody to know that we are safe,” Rebekah shares. “… and now we’re just starting the process of clean up. Thanks everybody for all your concern and your amazing, kind comments.”
