Woman Has An Unexpected Tour Guide Lead Her To Beautiful Waterfall

View of a meadow with a small, beautiful waterfall. Flowers are in the greenery

A solo mountaineer has gone viral over a breathtaking moment that took place while she was hiking. Typically, this woman doesn’t bring anyone along for her adventures into nature. That being said, there are times when others tag along — but her friends aren’t usually quite like this one. While venturing down a trail, the hiker (who goes by pnwrainier online) spotted a marmot. According to the mountaineer, the adorable rodent seemed to be leading her somewhere.

Curious as to where the marmot might lead her, she eagerly followed. After 12 minutes, they arrived at their destination, and she couldn’t have been happier about her choice. This sweet little marmot had led her to a beautiful waterfall, tucked away in a place that she could have easily missed. In that moment, the mountaineer says it felt as though it was her mom who had guided her there. See this special moment for yourself in the video below.

Once the two arrive at their destination, they simply stop a moment to enjoy the view. You might assume that the marmot ran off as soon as pnwrainier’s video ends, but they actually enjoyed each other’s company for quite some time.

When an Adorable Marmot Leads a Mountaineer to a Beautiful Waterfall, She’s in Awe

“We sat together for maybe 10 minutes,” the mountaineer shares in a comment. “Once the sun came over the ridge, he fell asleep in the warmth and I quietly said bye and let him rest, while also telling my mom thank you.”

Magical moments like this are able to spread so much joy and hope in an often scary, lonely world.

“He said ‘Come on, I know a spot… someone told me you’d love it,'” someone points out in the comments, with another adding, “Marmot probably thought you were in distress looking for water. What a beautiful sign.”
