Camping is an acquired taste and not everyone is cut out for this outdoor activity. Although it doesn’t require expert wildlife knowledge, you should know some basics. When independent musician Acari took her boyfriend camping for the first time, she got a surprise. On their first night of camping, her boyfriend thought he saw a bear.

Looking up at a distance, a newbie to camping might think it is a bear. However, Acari was not so quickly swayed. Zooming in, it becomes evident that there is something horribly wrong with the “bear’s” rear legs. Still unconvinced, a closer look reveals that it wasn’t a bear!

As she zoomed in closer, she laughed at what she saw. According to the post on TikTok, she may still be laughing! The weather while camping was a bit cool for the Doberman next door. The dog was standing in its campsite wearing a black hoodie. With the hood pulled up, the camping dog resembled a bear, at least to someone unfamiliar with bears.

With a close-up, there are definite signs that a Doberman staying in a camping area is impersonating a bear.

The next time her boyfriend goes camping, we hope he takes the time to verify what he sees before sounding the alarm. This is what a real bear looks like.

While a Doberman can be dangerous, they don’t often attack without provocation. Acari should ensure her BF is familiar with other animals they may encounter. Camping can be an enriching activity. However, if you haven’t ever camped, it is best to go with people who are familiar with it. Acari had a great laugh at her BFs expense and no bears were harmed on this adventure. If this made you smile, please share. Everyone deserves a beary good laugh.
