The Annual Silly Hat Parade is a family tradition. Young or old, everyone participates. The crazier the better! The family also has an annual Hawaiian-themed pub lunch.
While we definitely understand Jess’s hesitation, she could have saved herself from anxiety. Harry not only accepted her crazy family, he joined them!
If you like Harry’s chili pepper hat, you should check out more of the parade.
Grandma was sporting a classy Flamingo hat, and even the tiny tots got involved.
But the weekend’s festivities didn’t end with the Silly Hat Parade. This family believes in laughter when they get together. One of the other activities for this crazy family is jigsaw puzzles. They began a difficult puzzle on the first day of the weekend. The last piece was placed at 1:59 AM on the last day. The celebration was epic.
This type of activity was once “normal” for families. Well, maybe not crazy hats and Hawaiian outfits, but getting together and enjoying each other. Family is important, even if they are crazy. Families are finite. Appreciating them when you get together is priceless.
Modern families have gotten “busy” with school, sports, extracurricular activities, demanding jobs, and seemingly fewer hours in each day. Perhaps we would benefit from a little crazy family time? Organize a gathering with your family and enjoy some quality time having fun.
