There are so many things in life that are easy to take for granted. Our hair is one of them. There are lots of causes of hair loss, including alopecia. When someone has this disease, it means that their immune system attacks their hair follicles. This results in hair loss. Needless to say, this can be very distressing, especially for those who are quite young. Kylie Davenport has alopecia, and she’s sharing her experience with the disease on social media, both with and without a wig.

To help other people with alopecia be seen, Kylie makes sure to share both the good and bad in life. That’s because, while there are many struggles that come along with this disease, having it has also given light to the folks who love her most. This includes a group of friends who worked together to surprise her with the money needed for the perfect wig! As you can imagine, a quality wig can mean everything to someone with alopecia — this is seen in Kylie’s heartwarming response. See it for yourself in the video at this link!

“I have no words for the amount [of] love and support they have given me,” Kylie writes in the caption of her viral video. “Forever grateful.”
If you check out some of Kylie’s other videos, you’ll notice that she does have other wigs. That said, it seems that she’s been wanting one that is of better quality. Unfortunately, wigs can get pretty darn expensive. In other words, this random act of kindness truly is a perfect picture of friendship.
