You know that feeling when you open the fridge to grab a snack, but nothing looks good? Well, so does this wild bear! Jazmin Montalvo and company were shocked when they went downstairs to discover one of these enormous creatures raiding the refrigerator. This woman shared a nerve-wracking (but kind of hilarious) video of the bear intruder on social media.

In Jazmin’s clip, she caught the animal just as they were opening up her fridge to see what was inside. She couldn’t help but cry out in surprise when she saw the bear intruder rummaging through her kitchen! However, her exclamations of fright were interspersed with giggles at the ridiculousness of the situation. Please be aware that there is some NSFW language in the video below.
As Jazmin observed the intruder in her home, the bear continued to ransack the refrigerator. However, the animal didn’t seem particularly impressed with the groceries in the woman’s home. Eventually, the beast got bored and went back outside through an open door in the kitchen, presumably the same way they’d come in. Before the creature left, though, they took a dirty paper plate for the road.
This video has received over 32 million views online. Commenters were amazed that this bear knew to look for food in the fridge, and some suggested that the critter might have been an experienced home intruder. Others thought it was hilarious that this animal couldn’t find anything worth eating in this woman’s home!
“First of all the grip on the fridge handle is impeccable,” wrote one user. “He’s done this many times.”
Another joked, “You know it’s time to grocery shop when even the wildlife is dissatisfied with the selection of food options in the fridge.”
What should you do if you find a bear in your house?
Most of us expect to encounter bears in the wild, not in our homes. However, these creatures have been known to stage the occasional break-in! So, what should you do if you discover a bear intruder inside your house? According to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, you should never try to trap a bear indoors. Instead, you’ll want to make it as easy as possible for them to leave of their own volition. Usually, that means opening your doors to give them a clear path outside. You may also want to scare the animal away with loud noises while maintaining a safe distance.
Thankfully, Jazmin’s bear intruder decided to go back outside without any prompting. However, her video has us wondering what was in her fridge!
