Oklahoma Little League batter Isaiah Jarvis is showing the world the true essence of sportsmanship.

It all started when Texas East Little League pitcher Kaiden Shelton threw the ball at Isaiah and accidentally hit him in the head.
It is no secret that baseballs can feel almost as hard as rocks, so this seems to be a particularly painful thing to experience. The 12-year-old fell to the ground, obviously in pain, until he was finally able to stand up and walk up to first base.
Although Isaiah thankfully turned out to be okay after that, Kaiden seemed to be pretty shaken up by the fact that he had hit a fellow player. That’s when Isaiah noticed and decided to do something that is touching the hearts of millions around the world.
In a video, you can see Isaiah walking toward Kaiden and then giving him a heartfelt hug.
“Hey, you’re doing great,” Isaiah told Kaiden.
According to Isaiah, he just wanted to reassure Kaiden that he was okay.
“I wanted to go over there and spread God’s love and make sure that he’s OK,” Isaiah told CNN. “And make sure that he knows that I’m OK and that I’ll be OK.”
Now, this moment of sportsmanship is teaching people a valuable lesson – a lesson that we should never forget.
“I think the lesson is that you should care for other people,” said Kaiden. “Like if they’re down, you should just care for them, try to build them up.”
We can definitely learn a thing or two from these young boys’ actions and words of wisdom… this is what true sportsmanship looks like!
