If there’s one thing I know for certain, it’s that folks who decorate Christmas trees don’t get enough recognition. No matter the exact style, there’s something magical about the many ways a tree can be transformed for the holidays. In fact, even trees that don’t fit my exact style preference are sure to leave me in awe. That said, there’s one tree in particular that I’m particularly amazed by this year.

If you take a visit to Winterthur, you’re sure to discover all sorts of festive decor. Located in northern Delaware, this museum features all sorts of American decorative arts. And during the holidays, the entire 1,000-acre premise transforms in to a winter wonderland. Obviously, this includes lots of Christmas trees. While I love many of these trees, my favorite has to be the one that features an assortment of flowers. But don’t just take my word for it! Catch a glimpse in the clip below.

Every year, tourists flock to this decorative mansion fir an event called Yuletide at Winterthur. There’s much to do, like shop at the holiday markets, drink hot cocoa, and admire the decor. Best of all, the popular piece I love the most is included every year. In order to make that happen, there’s a process employees at Winterthur must follow all year round.
“Throughout the year, flowers are collected from across the estate to be artfully arranged and displayed in the interiors of Henry Francis du Pont’s former home,” Winterthur explains in a social media post.

“Before the flowers wilt, members of the Floral Design team collect them and prepare them to be dried,” the post continues. “Once preserved, the still-vibrant blooms are destined to decorate the Dried-Flower Tree, a holiday tradition at Winterthur since 1985.”
Flowers are an integral part of the Winterthur museum, making this flower Christmas tree all-the-more special! Now, I think it’s about time I decorate my own tree…
